28 Feb Managing Rivers for Flies
Peter Hayes has spent many years restoring rivers, allowing them to become self-sustaining trout fisheries, and advising others on how to do the same. A crucially important aspect of restoration is in ensuring the continued presence of insect life. Whilst serving on the Scientific Guidance Committee of the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust, Peter developed the ‘Managing Rivers for Flies’ presentation, which he presented to several organisations for their own use, including the Test and Itchen Association.Peter has written three books on fly fishing. The latest, ‘Trout and Flies, Getting Closer’ co-written with Don Stazicker, shatters taboos and includes amazing videos of trout behaviour.
